Helping Patients Have a Successful VBAC with Manual Physical Therapy!

One of our pregnant patients had a successful VBAC after we improved her pelvic alignment and mobility, made her stronger, and helped her gain confidence in her body and her abilities! Making room in her pelvis via manual therapies and prescriptive exercises was paramount in getting the baby out of transverse position at one point! Here are her remarks: "I had such a positive experience. I can't wait to see you at my 6 week post partum appointment and tell you all about it! You were such an integral part of my successful VBAC and I cannot thank you enough. Besides helping me physically you als[...]

Expert Post Partum Care for Diastasis Recti, Urinary Incontinence, and Intercourse Pain from an Episiotomy Scar A new testimonial:

Caroline, NYC: I came to Pamela about 12 weeks post-partum, having delivered a 9lb 6oz baby and wondering if I would ever feel 'normal' again. A few months later and I feel better than I did before giving birth! Pamela is great - supportive and knowledgeable, she immediately puts you at ease and gives you confidence that you will get better. Not without some work on your part of course, but with Pamela on your side you feel that you will get there and there is hope! I feel so much stronger and am able to enjoy carrying my baby which at one point I didn't think would ever happen. I highly recom[...]

Shoulder Rehab at Pamela Morrison Physical Therapy

A patient from Saudi Arabia came to see us and underwent 2 weeks of intensive treatment for shoulder pain! Her doctor in Saudi Arabia referred her to us! Intensive manual therapies, neuromuscular re-education, postural education / changes, movement re-education, pre[...]

Successful Vaginal Delivery of Macrosomia Baby with Pelvic Mobilization/Manual Therapies

Our lovely patient was determined to have a natural vaginal delivery although her obstetrician told her she would likely need a caesarean (C-section). Fetal macrosomia is defined as a fetus weighing more than 8 lbs,13 ounces. Our patient's baby determined weight was over 10 lbs. Her mother had birthed 2 macrosomia babies (one of them was her) vaginally so perhaps she could too! Why not give her every opportunity to have the birthing experience she desires? After several sessions aligning her pelvis and maximizing her pelvic mobility through various manual therapies, she delivered her baby vagi[...]

Our latest testimonial: Internist, age 38, Upper West Side

I’ve suffered with low back pain for 15 years and have been to several physical therapists. Dr. Morrison is the FIRST and ONLY therapist to evaluate me in the extensive manner that she did to come to an accurate diagnosis. She determined the underlying cause of my pain and dysfunction so that I could be appropriately treated and relived. As an internist in the area I was already familiar with Dr. Morrison’s outstanding reputation and effectiveness in the management of Women’s conditions as I have had patients with urinary/pelvic floor dysfunction who were greatly helped by her. But she is also[...]
