State Law:
Patients may be legally evaluated and treated for physical therapy for 10 sessions without needing a prescription from a doctor; HOWEVER, many health insurance companies still require a doctor's prescription in order for the patient to be reimbursed for physical therapy services. If the patient does not have a doctor's prescription, they may not be reimbursed according to their individual policy guidelines. Patient MUST check with their insurance carrier for these details.
